Sean "Diddy" Combs Sentenced to Over Four Years in Prison for Prostitution-Related Conviction
By Aurax Desk | October 3, 2025
Sean "Diddy" Combs, the renowned music mogul, was sentenced today in Manhattan federal court to 50 months (approximately four years and two months) in prison. This follows his July conviction on two counts related to prostitution. The charges stemmed from allegations that he arranged for male escorts to travel across state lines to engage in drug-fueled sexual acts with his former girlfriends, referred to in court as "Freak Offs."
Combs, 55, was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, which could have resulted in a life sentence. Prosecutors had recommended a sentence of at least 11 years, citing the severity of the offenses. In contrast, Combs' defense team requested a sentence of no more than 14 months, noting that he had already served 12 months at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
During the sentencing, Combs tearfully apologized in court, expressing that he had been "humbled and broken to my core." He also addressed his former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, offering an apology for his actions. Additionally, Combs' children delivered emotional victim impact statements, further influencing the court's decision.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the serious nature of the allegations and the high-profile status of the defendant. Combs has indicated his intention to appeal the conviction.
