The Tesla Registered to D4vd being toewd away
Authorities have confirmed that human remains discovered in a Tesla registered to musician David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, belong to 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been missing from Lake Elsinore, California, since April 2024.
The vehicle, which had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, was towed earlier this month to an impound lot in Hollywood. On September 8, 2025, employees at the tow yard noticed a strong odor coming from the car. When they opened the vehicle’s front trunk, they found a bag containing human remains. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office later determined the body was that of Rivas.
The condition of the remains suggested that the body had been inside the car for a significant period of time, and investigators are treating the case as a homicide. The exact cause of death has not yet been released, as officials continue their investigation.
Law enforcement sources have stated that Burke, 20, is cooperating with investigators as they work to establish how the missing teenager ended up in his vehicle. At this time, no charges have been announced, and police have not provided additional details about his connection to the case.
The discovery has drawn national attention, given the involvement of Burke, who rose to prominence as D4vd in recent years and is known for his music career. For the family of Celeste Rivas, the identification brings an end to the uncertainty surrounding her disappearance, though questions remain about the circumstances of her death.
