Jupiter Island, FL – 27 March 2026 – Golf legend Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) Friday morning following a rollover car crash near his home on Jupiter Island, Florida, local authorities confirmed.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Woods was involved in a two-vehicle incident in which his Land Rover clipped the trailer of a work truck, causing his vehicle to flip onto its side. Both Woods and the other driver escaped the crash without serious injuries. Woods reportedly crawled out of the vehicle through the passenger door.

Authorities said Woods exhibited “signs of impairment” at the scene. He was subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. While initial tests indicated no presence of alcohol, deputies noted that Woods may have been under the influence of medication or other substances, though no official toxicology report has been released.
In addition to the DUI allegation, Woods faces property damage charges and a potential charge for refusal to submit to testing, a misdemeanor under Florida law.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Woods’ arrest and is investigating the rollover crash.
Sheriff’s officials confirmed that Woods was uninjured in the crash. The other driver involved also escaped without serious harm. No pedestrians or bystanders were reported injured.
