Police are investigating a deadly early-morning shooting in Penal that left three men dead inside a residential property, according to local reports. The incident occurred shortly before 3:00 a.m. on March 23, when loud explosions were heard by a female occupant who later discovered the victims inside the downstairs area of the building.

The three men were found motionless with apparent gunshot wounds, alongside multiple spent and live 9mm shell casings at the scene. The victims, all in their late teens to early twenties, were reportedly in different positions within the room when they were discovered.

First responders from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, including officers attached to the Penal Criminal Investigations Department and Southern Division patrol units, responded to the scene and secured the area as investigations began.

Early indications suggest the attack may have been targeted, though authorities have not confirmed a motive. The identities of the deceased have been released, and relatives have been notified.

Investigations are ongoing as police continue to gather evidence and examine possible links to gang-related activity.
