A vegetable vendor in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson was injured after a Russian FPV drone chased him through a market area before exploding nearby, according to Ukrainian authorities and verified video released this week. The footage shows the 52-year-old man running around his produce van as the drone follows him before detonating moments later. Ukrainian police said he suffered shrapnel wounds, a concussion and blast-related injuries, while his wife, who was nearby, was not injured. The vendor later said he tried to signal that he was a civilian by holding up vegetables before the drone turned toward him.

Ukrainian officials condemned the attack and accused Russian forces of deliberately targeting a civilian, describing the incident as a possible war crime. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and regional authorities said the strike reflects a growing use of FPV drones against people living in Kherson, which remains under frequent attack from Russian forces positioned across the Dnipro River.
