The US First Lady has strongly rejected claims linking her to Jeffrey Epstein, calling them “false” and urging an end to speculation.
Melania Trump delivers a rare public statement denying any relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
In a rare public appearance, US First Lady Melania Trump has firmly denied any relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, describing allegations linking her to him as “baseless lies.” Speaking from the White House, she insisted she had never been friends with Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell and had no knowledge of his crimes.
Trump said she and her husband had only encountered Epstein in overlapping social circles in New York and Palm Beach, rejecting suggestions of any deeper connection. She also clarified that Epstein did not introduce her to Donald Trump, stating the couple met independently in 1998.

The statement comes amid renewed scrutiny following the release of documents linked to Epstein, including a 2002 email and photographs showing Trump alongside Epstein and Maxwell. She dismissed the correspondence as trivial and accused those promoting the claims of attempting to damage her reputation for political or financial reasons.
In her remarks, Trump also called for US lawmakers to hold public hearings so victims of Epstein’s abuse can testify under oath, shifting focus toward accountability for those directly affected. The issue, which had faded from headlines amid other global crises, has now returned to the political spotlight following her intervention.
