Jalen Brunson was named Eastern Conference Finals MVP after leading New York throughout the series. Brunson scored 15 points in the clinching game as the Knicks completed their second consecutive playoff sweep and secured the franchise’s first NBA Finals appearance since 1999.

Cleveland struggled to contain New York’s fast-paced offense and rebounding advantage throughout the series. Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 31 points in Game 4, but the loss marked one of the worst playoff defeats in franchise history on their home court.
The Knicks, who last won an NBA championship in 1973, will face the winner of the Western Conference finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. The Finals are scheduled to begin June 3, with excitement building across New York as the franchise returns to the league’s championship stage after nearly three decades.
