The incident occurred days after another fireworks-related accident at the Queen’s Park Savannah, where a FirePower Fireworks representative suffered third-degree burns when fireworks accidentally discharged during preparations for Trinidad and Tobago’s Independence Day display. She was taken to Port of Spain General Hospital and admitted in critical condition.
The Piccadilly Street fire adds to concerns about the risks associated with fireworks in residential areas, particularly when they are used without adequate supervision or safety precautions.
