The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is investigating 11 bomb threats reported at courts, a shopping plaza and a government ministry across Trinidad and Tobago. The threats were received within about 40 minutes Wednesday, prompting evacuations and heightened security operations, but no explosive devices were found.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad — Security agencies were placed on high alert after 11 bomb threats were reported between about 1 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. Wednesday. The affected sites included eight magistrates' courts, Valpark Shopping Plaza, Kent House in Maraval, which houses the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, and the Judicial Building at Bacolet in Tobago. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service responded to the reports and carried out security checks at the locations.
The courts affected were in Arima, Chaguanas, Couva, Point Fortin, Princes Town, San Fernando, Sangre Grande and Siparia. At Kent House, staff and occupants were evacuated after a threat was received, while other affected locations also implemented emergency security measures. The TTPS said the reports were received through different communication channels and activated established protocols in response.
The latest reports followed earlier bomb-threat incidents in Trinidad and Tobago and prompted increased attention from security agencies across the country. Authorities have not reported finding an explosive device in connection with Wednesday's threats, and investigations remain underway to determine their source and whether the incidents were connected. Police have urged members of the public to remain calm, avoid areas where security operations are taking place and follow instructions from emergency personnel.
