Iran has firmly denied that any talks are taking place with the United States, pushing back against statements from former U.S. President Donald Trump that suggested recent diplomatic engagement had been “productive.” According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, there is “no dialogue” underway with Washington, a position echoed by state media and officials who maintain that no direct or indirect negotiations have occurred. 

The denial comes amid heightened regional tensions and conflicting narratives between the two sides. While U.S. statements have pointed to possible communication channels, Iranian officials insist that any reports of talks are inaccurate, even as regional mediators reportedly attempt to ease the standoff. The dispute underscores continuing mistrust between Tehran and Washington as geopolitical pressure intensifies across the Middle East.
