The latest action follows a federal judge’s decision last week to overturn an administration policy that had suspended immigrant visa processing for nationals of 75 countries. The court found that Secretary of State Marco Rubio had exceeded his statutory authority in imposing the suspension. The worldwide appointment pause adds uncertainty for applicants already navigating lengthy immigration procedures, although the State Department has said the scheduling changes are connected to its consular training program.
