Search Intensifies for Missing U.S. Troops in Morocco

U.S. military officials are continuing search efforts for two American service members who disappeared during a multinational training exercise in Morocco, prompting a coordinated response involving both U.S. and Moroccan authorities. The troops were reported missing after failing to return as expected during scheduled activities linked to the exercise, which includes participants from several countries and is designed to strengthen joint military readiness.

Military officials said search teams were deployed shortly after the service members were reported missing, with ground units and aerial support working across challenging terrain. Moroccan authorities have joined the effort, providing local knowledge and additional resources as crews attempt to locate the missing personnel. The operation has expanded in scope since the initial report, with searchers covering remote areas where the troops were last known to be operating.
