House Democrats Publish Epstein Estate Photos Ahead of Federal Disclosure Deadline
By Aurax Desk December 18, 2025
House Oversight Committee Democrats released a new batch of images from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate on December 18, 2025, one day ahead of a statutory deadline for the Justice Department to publish its Epstein records. The tranche includes 68 photos drawn from a broader set of roughly 95,000 images recently provided to Congress; committee members said many of the images arrived without dates, locations, or additional context and were published as received.
The materials feature references to Vladimir Nabokov’s “Lolita” written on a person’s body, images of foreign travel documents and passports with identifying details redacted, and screenshots of text messages discussing an 18-year-old traveling from Russia. Additional photos show items such as crossbows and a pill bottle labeled phenazopyridine tied to a New York City address.
Some photos depict well-known public figures, including Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Noam Chomsky. The releases do not, on their face, establish criminal activity by individuals shown in the images.
The photo publication comes as federal agencies face a Friday deadline under the Epstein Files Transparency Act to release Justice Department, FBI, and U.S. attorney records related to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, subject to privacy and other narrow exemptions. Republicans and the White House criticized the House Democrats’ selective publication, while Democrats framed the releases as part of a transparency effort ahead of the broader disclosure. The public document release is expected to begin Friday.
Separately, Ghislaine Maxwell filed a new request in federal court seeking to set aside her sex‑trafficking conviction and 20‑year sentence. Senate Democrats also sent a letter raising concerns about the Justice Department’s handling of interviews with Epstein’s longtime lawyer and accountant, who now serve as executors of the estate
