U.S.-Backed Peace Plan Advances Amid Russian Strikes in Ukraine
By Aurax Desk November 25, 2025
Negotiations for a U.S.-brokered peace plan to end the war between Ukraine and Russia have progressed, though Ukraine has not yet formally accepted the revised proposal. The U.S. and Ukrainian officials have agreed on key elements, but some concerns remain over territorial integrity and security guarantees. The initial draft of the peace plan, which contained 28 points, was revised after Ukrainian officials expressed worries that some provisions favored Russian interests.
Despite the progress in talks, Russia has continued its military attacks on Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv and Kharkiv, causing civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. Ukrainian President Zelensky has emphasized that any agreement must respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The success of the peace plan depends on all parties’ commitment, with Russia showing some willingness to engage but expressing concerns over the revised framework. The outcome remains uncertain, with the ongoing conflict continuing to pose challenges to diplomatic efforts.
